The piece emerged from the desire to respond to an important contemporary moment in time – the largest migration of human beings since the second world war – an event that forces us to examine aspects of displacement, home, diversity, social integration, race, tolerance, culture, borders etc.
The production aims to explore the invisible and sometimes unusual forces that connect us as human beings, helping us realise that even in the most socially diverse environments that we are not so different from our neighbours.
Featuring a cast of up to 100 people from a broad spectrum of communities, cultures, backgrounds and ages this radical new theatre performance creates a real-time snapshot of a place on a given day.
Conceived and created by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff.
