We have a new digital arts intern position available.

Term: 30 hours per week for 26 weeks, start date negotiable but ideally July/August 2020
Payment: Minimum wage 21-24 year olds £8.20 p/hr; 18-20 year olds £6.45; Under 18s £4.55

About Dumbworld

Dumbworld is an artist led creative production company based in Belfast, established in 2009 by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff. We make work that is to be found at the intersection of music, image and words including film, opera, documentary, oratorio, animation, public art installation, performance pieces, theatre and curatorial projects.

About the role

Dumbworld is a committed to mentoring and fostering the next generation of artists and creatives in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a Digital Arts Intern to engage in an apprenticeship in multimedia production, digital arts content creation and social media marketing.

The Digital Arts Intern will work across some of the following areas of content creation:
1. Multimedia content development – video and audio editing and post production work
2. Digital Art content creation – image, video, animation, VR/AR, or app creation (depending on the intern’s background and skills)
3. Social media marketing content creation – developing content relevant to Dumbworld’s projects and productions for all social media platforms
4. Music Production

Intern will work 30h per week in the Dumbworld office with Company Manager and Project & Development Manager. In addition, some time working on site for installation and performance works will be necessary.

Person specification

16-24 years old and currently unemployed or working in a job unrelated to the arts. An interest in pursuing a career in Digital Arts.

  • social media content creation
  • music production
