Dr Steven Hadley (Chair)
Steven Hadley is an award-winning cultural policy academic based at Trinity College Dublin. His research asks how audiences are constructed and articulated within the context of enabling democratic access to culture. He is the author of Audience Development and Cultural Policy (2021) as well as numerous academic publications and is Editor of several Routledge books including Cultural Leadership in Practice and Audience Data and Research. He sits on the Steering Committee of the Cultural Research Network, the Editorial Board of Arts and the Market and is Policy & Reviews Editor for Cultural Trends. He has given invited talks at the National Portrait Gallery, London, the European Parliament in Brussels, the Ministries of Culture in both Paris and Santiago de Chile, and on numerous global media platforms. Steven has worked in over thirty countries internationally and is an Associate Consultant with Counterculture (UK), The Audience Agency (UK) and the Danish Centre for Arts & Interculture (Denmark).
Mark Glazier
A Chartered Accountant qualified through PWC Sydney; Mark has worked across several continents and many industries. For the last 25 years he has applied these skills and experience to the arts, entertainment, and broadcast industries. Most recently Mark completed financial and governance review of the MAC, a landmark institution in Belfast, contributing to the regeneration of the Cathedral Quarter, which then led to an appointment in April 2021 as Head of Finance of the MAC.
Aimee Consiglia Conway
Aimee is the Community Engagement Officer for EastSide Arts, a small company within EastSide Partnership, a regeneration organisation based in east Belfast. Originally a classical flautist, graduating with an MA from the Royal Academy of Music, Aimee worked as a freelance orchestral flute player for 6 years with the likes of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra, before moving to a career that focused on arts engagement and programming for non-profit organisations. Based in London until 2020, Aimee has worked for organisations such as Roundhouse and Centrepoint, working with young people and those experiencing homelessness to develop city-wide and national programmes that nurture creativity and support social change through music, film and spoken word.
Aidan Geary
An independent management and strategy consultant, Aidan has significant experience gained in the media industry – initially in editorial, and subsequently in project delivery, strategy development, and management and leadership roles. Aidan spent 12 years working in multiple roles at The Guardian, including project managing the set-up of their New York newsroom in 2011. He was part of the small team that developed The Guardian’s membership strategy in 2016. Subsequently, he spent several years working at international magazine publisher, Condé Nast, where he was director of operations for the international headquarters in London. Alongside HR, communications, project delivery and facilities, he was accountable for developing Condé Nast’s policies on Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion, and led on a major strategy reset for the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design. Aidan is a non-executive director of Liberty (the National Council for Civil Liberties), where he acts as the organisation’s treasurer, and is a trustee of the Civil Liberties Trust.
