This week, twelve emerging composers have been immersed in the NI Film Scoring School, exploring the art and craft of writing for film, TV, and games. Guided by leading professionals – including Hannah Peel and David Holmes – they’ve delved into both the aesthetic and technical sides of composing for the screen.

On Saturday 6 September, they’ll be joined by the exceptional Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble to hear their brand-new works performed live for the very first time – and you’re invited to experience it first-hand.

Schedule

  • 12.00 – 1.30pm / 2.15 – 3.00pm / 3.15 – 4.00pm → Open recording sessions, where twelve new pieces will be performed and captured.

  • 4.15 – 5.00pm → Closing wrap-up with a final playthrough of material (not recorded).

Whether you’re a friend, family member, or simply curious about soundtracks, film, or composition, don’t miss this rare chance to witness music for the screen being born.
